 Officer in Charge (OIC) Operations – Superintendent

Supt. Charles Thompson

Enlisted in the Royal Montserrat Police Service (RMPS) 1990 he complete his initial police training at the Regional Police Training Centre in Barbados, in June of that year. He has since worked in several departments to include; Beat & Patrol, Court & Process, Criminal Investigations Department, Training and Salem. During his years of service he has had formal training in a wide range of policing fields, locally and overseas. He was promoted to his current position of Superintendent with responsibilities for operations within the RMPS in November of 2008. Mr. Thompson heads the Financial Crime and Analysis Unit (FCAU), which is responsible for investigating maters of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing. He holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Management, an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies and a Certificate in Public Administration, from the University of the West Indies. He was the recipient of the Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee medals.
 

Officer in Charge Salem Station – Inspector

Inspector Bennet Kirwan
Insp. Bennet Kirwan

Inspector Kirwan is a native of Montserrat. He enlisted in the Royal Montserrat Police Service on 22nd July 1988. Insp. Kirwan received his initial police training at the Regional Police Training Centre in Barbados.  During his early career he worked in Immigration, Beat & Patrol, Administration and Criminal Investigations Departments. He held the posts of Acting Superintendent of Her Majesty’s Prison and Acting Director at the Disaster Management Coordination Agency from 2009 to 2011. 

 

 

Officer in Charge CID & Marine Departments – Inspector

Inspector Courtney Rodney
Insp. Courtney Rodney

Born in the twin island state of Trinidad and Tobago, Mr. Rodney enlisted in the RMPS in 1998 where he received his initial police training at RPTC. In 2010 he was promoted to the rank of inspector. He is currently the inspector with responsibility for the Marine and Immigration departments. He has received professional training in Court Prosecuting, Custody Officer, Search and Rescue and in the Junior Command Course. He has worked in the following Departments: Beat &Patrol, CID, Court & Process.

  

 

Officer in Charge Beats & Patrol (Team 1/2) – Inspector (Ag.)

Julian Wade

JULIAN WADE

Inspector (Ag) Wade enlisted with the Royal Montserrat Police Service (RMPS) in 1990. He was born in the “Land of 365 Rivers”, Dominica. He completed his initial police training at the Regional Police Training Centre in Barbados, in December of that year. He has since worked in several departments to include; Beat & Patrol, Court & Process (police prosecutor), Criminal Investigations Department for 18 years, Scene of Crime as a (SOCO), and Training. During his years of service he has completed formal training in a wide range of policing fields, locally and overseas. His current position as Inspector (Ag) includes responsibilities for Beat & Patrol, Training / HR and Immigration. Mr. Wade graduated at the University of Wolverhampton , England and  holds a Bachelors of Law Degree with Honours (LLB.Hons). He was the recipient of the Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee medals. Mr. Wade is also a certified Interpol Instructor, a qualified Search and Rescue Officer and a qualified controller in handling of Covert Human Intelligence Sources (CHIS).
