Community Patrols

Upper page: Community

Community Patrols are an everyday and nighttime activity of the Police Service. Community Patrols are completed largely on foot; however, Officers are supported by roving police vehicle patrols as well as armed response vehicles and the marine MV Shamrock. Even senior and executive officers of the Service conduct periodic high visibility patrols to engage with the various communities.

What is most important is that all persons in the communities share with our officers any concerns when and where they are observed. The RMPS are committed to promptly responding to community threats and issues. However, success relies on the public’s cooperation and active participation.
