Beginning in January 2014 and potentially as soon as the 2013 Festival Season, the RMPS will be conducting traffic speed enforcement and education with the use of speed-measuring devices. Section 46A of the Road Traffic Act permits such technology. Section 46A refers to “prescribed speed-measuring devices”, “used in the prescribed manner” and subject to “prescribed conditions”.  30 KPH = 18 Miles Per Hour (Speed Limit in Montserrat on the A1 = 20MPH)

50 KPH = 31 Miles Per Hour (10 MPH makes a huge difference!)

65 KPH = 40 Miles Per Hour (Just TOO FAST!!)
