Special Duties

Upper page: Operational

The Royal Montserrat Police Service (RMPS) often receives requests from other GoM Departments and the public for special duties. These duties require the deployment of additional police resources. At times, these police resources cannot be drawn from exiting shifts. Therefore, personnel must be called out on their days off or in-between shifts.

A surcharge special duty fee will be charged against any requests for special duties that is deemed a non-core policing function. The cost is non-refundable.

All requests for police assistance for special duties must be in writing addressed to the Commissioner of Police (COP).
